OurJourney—1999 to Present
1999—Beginning: School launched in a donated cowshed with 2 children; founders committed to rural education.
2004—First milestone: After five years of focused primary work, the school produced exceptional student results and began sending students to prestigious institutions (Sainik School Ghorakhal, Navodaya Vidyalaya, and others).
2006—Community demand:Parents asked for local secondary education to avoid sending children 200+ km away. The school faced teacher recruitment, infrastructure and regulatory challenges but overcame them through parent support and teacher dedication.
2011—Historic achievement: First State Board Class10 examattemptproducedthe #1rankin Uttarakhand, validating the model for rural quality education.
2013—Senior secondary success: In its first Class12 attempt the school achieved 3rd rank across the state.
2008–2009&Scholarship growth: After a visitor (Mr. Jayant Hardikar) saw student poverty, a scholarship program started in 2009 with a single student and expanded (with HEF support) to 200 scholarship recipients today.
Girls’ education transformation: From only 2 girls enrolled initially to 321girls (36% of students) today, driven by scholarship programs and outreach.
Vocational expansion: Programs now include carpentry, fabrication, stitching,computerskills,tinker space, dance, music, art & craft, and sports to provide dual academic and skill pathways.
